SAMEKH--PATH 14, an Introduction.

Path 14 on the Tree of life connects second circuit Ego with fifth circuit Enlightened Ego (Yesod to Tiphareth). This is an interrupted path in the sense that it moves from subconscious directly to superconscious. The fifth circuit is rarely opened before puberty since each circuit normally follows the other in sequence, and most people experience fifth circuit activity only a few times in their lives. The difficulty of moving from subconscious to superconscious is reflected in the Tree of Life by a gulf separating the second circuit from the fifth. This gulf is sometimes called the "Dark night of the soul," or the "Wrath of God," both names describe the effort and problems you can have in using this path.

Samekh, meaning to verify or test, is the name of this path. Wrath is associated with this path and represents the anger of frustration from the unfulfilled desire of the Ego to reach and control higher levels. This path almost never opens from below (second to fifth) and is normally opened only from the fifth circuit. The fifth circuit is usually attained by operating a Tantric ritual from the third circuit, to the fourth circuit, and when powered up, moving to the fifth circuit in a logical procession. Then, the path from fifth to second circuit can safely be used without the Ego gaining control of the fifth circuit.

Using the path from the fifth circuit can help cure a damaged second circuit Ego. The fifth brain circuit (Tiphareth) is the Neurosomatic circuit or mind over matter brain circuit according to scientists nomenclature. From the fifth, holistic brain we can heal our ills and emotions, call down true blessings and joy into our lives, and retrain the damaged second circuit Ego. One of the major goals of Tantra is to open this fifth brain circuit for use all the time, not just a few times in a lifetime. Tantra does this consciously and in full control and memory. This creates an enormous healing potential in our lives.

The first goal of Tantra is to heal and unite the lower four brain circuits. Then, move up to the superconscious and continue the healing process. Finally, the goal of Tantra is to reunite you with your Eternal Self. To do these things, use Tantra abundantly, constantly, powerfully, and practice, practice, practice, practice, practice,... until the methods are "second nature" and you live Tantra.
