Comments, expositions, and eruptions.I'll use this page just to comment, talk about things, or sometimes to just plain speak out on things of importance as I see them. Before I talk about the web page and what there is to read, and how much more there is to put up and others of that ilk, I'd like to comment on the problem that I call survival syndrome, something that seems to have filled our world with some strange ideas. Here's an example: A tornado strikes an apartment building and of the 17 people in the building at the time, 14 are killed. The three survivors are interviewed by the press/news/entertainment and they all say "The whole building was shaking and falling down. I prayed and prayed, and God saved me. Glory to god, I'm alive because my prayers were answered. Thank you God!" OK, we've all heard this type of thing and it's pretty normal. Now, let's hear from the non-survivors, those who prayed and prayed and got squashed. If god saved those few, then the responsibility for who lives and who dies is in god's hands. Therefore, those who died were killed by god and we all know they prayed and prayed and begged to live. This is pretty harsh to hear, but if the survivors had equal time, we would see things quite different. I cannot listen to a miracle save without seeing the miracle non-save. We would really see things different if we could but know that our lives are in our own hands. God (she,it,he,them) have given us the operators controls. What we do, where we go, when we are where, etc., are all up to us. If we stand in harms way, harm will show up. If we are alive, we are going to have some harm find us in our lives. If that harm ends our lives, we will not be able to tell everyone just what a dump god took on us. Nope, those idiots who survived will tell everyone that they were special enough for god to single them out and that (by implication) those who died deserved to die in comparison. Boo, Hiss. Make of that what you will, but try to see the world differently. Web pages. Well, as Douglas Adams in the Hitch hikers guide to the Galaxy, had the psychiatrist say of Zaphod Beeblbrox, "He's just this guy" and that's about it for the web pages. Its just this book. Of course, there are about 100 pages up right now and so you know I won't stop with just that. Read and enjoy. I will be setting up some adult material in the near future. First I need to have a screen so children can't get in. Not that I think this should be hidden from children, the current sociological status of our culture says it should be and if I want to get this out to as many as possible, I'll have to leave it to you to decide if children of your responsibility should learn and understand these topics. What is up now represents about 10 percent of what is available that I have written and I want to get up much more. What is there is the tame stuff. When the firewall vrs. children is available then some of the not-so-tame writing will go up. You'll probably need to email me at that time to get a code to get into the good stuff. If you have any advice, let me know via email. I sure could use some help on this. Actually, I had to learn html programming to put this up. The web page has been made using only notepad. No editor, no outside expert help. Just me and my keyboard. So, if you know something that could help me out, let me know. I'll stop for now but will be back for more scribbling. Dave
