TAV--PATH 21, An Introduction The path from the Biosurvival circuit to the Ego (Malkuth to Yesod) is path 21 on the Tree of Life and is called "Tav," a Hebrew word meaning signature or mark. It is said of this path of the "primal I" that it is "primal consciousness" and the path represents an increase in awareness and consciousness. As we move from the unconscious Biosurvival circuit to the subconscious Ego, our awareness increases and our contact with the world around us increases. These two circuits are often firmly linked by this path and work in conjunction to control the total organism (in this case, the unfortunate human walking about with severely damaged brain circuits). As we move from the Biosurvival circuit to more awareness and mobility with the second circuit, we learn interactions, get the idea of personal worth and ownership, rules, limits, freedoms, pain, cunning, lies, and the whole realm of human relationships. The book "All I needed to know I learned in Kindergarten" is more on the mark than most people realize. The second circuit is strongly active during the ages 2, 3, 4, and 5 with no higher brain circuit active. Thus, all that childish learning process is the Ego gaining a lifetime of knowledge on how to handle the world it is in. Watch children of this age interact and you will be amazed at the way they represent adults and at the way adults still act in the "terrible two" manner. The fears of the Biosurvival circuit normally change to the excitement of exploration. Unfortunately, this can quickly turn also to fear when the toddler picks up a bottle of bleach or other household poison, terrifying the parents who proceed to frighten the living hell out of the child. Or, worse, the toddler runs smack into a father who will not be tolerant, who may even be cruel and the child learns pain and fear in one fast, memorable dose. This path, Tav, is not accessible by our conscious mind. That is an extremely important fact in understanding how we might be able to use this path to aid us in working with our first and second circuits. It is important to note that using the rational mind and the sexual circuit to heal the subconscious and unconscious will require individual action in order to heal each circuit. You cannot heal both with one magic bullet. In addition, please note that you must heal both the first and second circuits or the damage of one will re-initiate the damage of the other. The Tree of Life description of path 21 further says "observe your compulsions and emotional responses and create new patterns, new matrices" to express yourself through. A pretty smart bunch wrote this stuff thousands of years ago. They somehow knew this path contained access to compulsions and emotions. How cogent also to note that the first circuit has compulsions and the second circuit is emotional. This path is the connecting link. The Tree of Life further states that this path represents the Omega of our cosmic consciousness, in other words, the lowest aspect of human conscious awareness. We now know this is correct since the path connects the primitive Biosurvival circuit with the subconscious Ego. Working with this path requires great energy, specifically Kundalini energy, for results and can bring huge benefit when the Kundalini energy is used instead of the usual "carry the cross" painful trip our modern world inflicts upon us. It is not required of us to live in pain in order to improve our lives. Growing should never be painful. When we grow in pain that is what we are harvesting. All of our growth should be exciting, joyful, adventurous, and actually fun. God has provided the means for this and we keep being reincarnated into our physical body yet many of us continue to deny the need of a physical body or its importance to our spiritual growth. All spiritual activity is linked to the physical body. Without the body to manifest Gods' glory into, we cannot see that glory in this plane no matter how much we'd like to imagine it could happen. You must have the physical body to use as a vehicle to gain spiritual powers. Reaching this subconscious path requires persistence, energy, and a letting go of our conscious minds so we can get into the deep subconscious and wake the Kundalini power. For now, this path will remain "on the shelf" until much more Tantra has been learned.
